Helpful Information for First Time Visitors

Hello!

Welcome to Oshtemo United Methodist Church, we’re so glad you’re here! Worship
Sunday morning begins at 10:00 AM with a traditional worship service.

There are two entrances to the church parking lot. One off of Stadium Dr, on the East
side of the church and one off from a drive on the West side of the church. When you
park in the church parking lot, you’ll be at the back of the church. The entrance is
accessible with a ramp to the middle door that will take you to the main lobby and the
sanctuary will be directly to your right. The church is fully handicap accessible, with
ramps into fellowship hall and an elevator to the lower level. “The Loop” hearing device
serves the service.

Dress is casual. Children of all ages and abilities are encouraged to accompany their
parents to worship and to participate in the children’s message during the service, if
preferred, there is also a nursery with an attendant available for children under five.

Greeters will provide you with a bulletin (large print also available) that guides you
through the service. First Sunday of the month, communion is served. The United
Methodist Church invite all to partake in communion without having to be a member.

Directly following every Sunday service there will be fellowship time, which is a time to gather and chat over snacks and refreshments. This is held in the Fellowship Hall, which is down the hallway across from the exit of the sanctuary. If you follow the crowd leaving the sanctuary you’ll end up in the Fellowship Hall, or the ushers would be more than happy to direct you. The Pastor’s Information If you have any theological questions or any questions about what type of church we are, Pastor John would be more than happy to speak with you. His office hours are Monday-Wednesday 9:30-12:00 pm or by appointment. He can also be reached at revjwfisher@gmail.com or 269-327-3277.
